HUSBAND CHARGED WITH MURDERING NINA KAREN OWENS
39 year old Matthew Dean Owens has been indicted on a first degree murder charge in the death of his wife Nina Karen Owens.
Her remains were found a month after she went missing.
A grand jury handed down the indictment on Thursday morning against Matthew Dean Owens, who is accused of killing Nina Karen Owens, 47.
Deputies arrested Matthew Owens at his home in Cumberland County, and his bond was set for $500,000.
His wife, Nina Owens, was reported missing from her home on H&B Farms Drive on Aug. 22. When investigators started looking into her disappearance, they learned she actually went missing on Aug. 10.
According to TBI, authorities then discovered skeletal remains on Pugh Cemetery Road in north Cumberland County on September 27. They later positively identified the remains as Nina Owens.
