CROSSVILLE WOMAN BITTEN BY PIT BULL AT EXECUTIVE INN

On November 1, 2023 city units were dispatched to Cumberland Medical Center in reference to a dog bite. Upon the officer’s  arrival he spoke with the victim who stated that she was at the Executive Inn and was walking back from the ice machine when a gray male Pit bull attacked her biting her on the upper right breast causing a wound that required her to go to the hospital. She stated that the dog belonged to someone in one of the rooms.

The officer went to the room at the hotel and spoke with the dog’s owner Kristen Cook. She stated that it was her dog that had bit the victim. It had gotten loose and ran away from her towards the victim attacking her. Kristen informed the officer that she had adopted it from some customers that had left the hotel as it had been malnourished and abused. Kristen stated that she called a person that she knows to come pick the dog up and have it removed from the Executive Inn.

It is unclear from the report what, if any action was taken against Kristen as the owner of the Pit bull.
