VEC officials announced there will be a planned power outage this Saturday (October 14, 2023) beginning at 10 p.m. Central time.

The outage is expected to last about 8 hours. TDOT will be moving two electrical transmission lines during the outage as part of the Highway 127 construction project. In addition, Crossville Feeder 244 will have a partial outage. This outage will affect about 9,559 members.

OUTAGE TIPS

• Keep freezers and refrigerators closed.
• Do not use a gas stove or gas oven to heat your home.
• Have alternate plans for refrigerating medicines or using power-dependent medical devices.
