On September 22, 2023  a City Officer observed a black Dodge Nitro bearing  being driven by Jennifer Bruce DOB 11/18/65 who he knew to have a revoked driver’s license. The officer conducted a traffic stop at 49 Cumberland Plaza. The status of her license was confirmed as revoked with dispatch. 

The officer had Jennifer step out of the driver’s seat and placed her in handcuffs. Once Jennifer was in the back of the patrol vehicle she began screaming that she could not breathe. The officer had dispatch send EMS to their location, where due to her “chest pain,” she was transported to the hospital. The officer went to the commissioner’s office and signed a warrant on Jennifer for driving on a revoked driver’s license. Jennifer eventually left the hospital and hospital staff never alerted dispatch she had left the hospital, therefore Jennifer was never arrested on that day, September 22, 2023.

Jennifer was arrested the next day for her warrant by day shift.
