The home of retired Crossville Doctor “Reb” Ivey was destroyed by fire early this morning.

Cumberland Co. Fire, Crossville Fire, and multiple other emergency agencies were called to the structure fire in the 2400 block of Oak Dr. in the Larurelwood subdivision. Dr. Ivey and his wife were able to get out of the house and escape injury. Preliminary reports indicate the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction in a transformer.
