CROSSVILLE MAN TRIES TO RUN OVER HIS SON AND SON-IN-LAW

On June 27, 2023 city units were dispatched to Fawn Loop in reference to a physical domestic disturbance. Upon arrival an officer made contact with Randall Wayne Bartley. Mr. Bartley’s son-in-law and Mr. Bartley’s son stated that Randall was at the residence to gather his belongings. Officers were informed that Randall was told they wanted all the keys to the house back which at that point he took the keys and threw them on the roof. Both Mr. Bartley’s son and son-in-law stated that an argument then ensued and Randall got into his vehicle and pulled out of the driveway, then put the vehicle in reverse and quickly reversed back into the yard and driveway a total of 4 times nearly striking his son three times and his son-in-law once.

Randall was placed into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center. He was charged with Aggravated Assault (Domestic), Aggravated Assault, and 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment. Mr. Bartley was also served bond conditions with his son as the protected party. The bond conditions were entered into NCIC at dispatch.
