CROSSVILLE MAN THREATENS TO KILL EVERYONE IN HOUSEHOLD WITH SHOTGUN

On 5/29/23 City officers responded to Carriage Drive for a report of a male that had a shotgun and was making threats to kill everyone in his household. Dispatch was notified that the caller was hidden in her bedroom at the front of the house and the suspect, later identified as Mr. Jesse Bouton, was in his bedroom with the shotgun. Upon arrival to the residence City units approached the residence to surround it and two other officers approached from the front of the residence. As they got to the driveway they found a male that was wearing a white shirt and shorts. The male walked from the left side of the garage to the right side and towards the driver’s door of the truck in the garage. The two officers in the front both had out M4 AR rifles pointed at Mr. Bouton due to the fact the call was involving a shotgun. One of the officers then stated to the male to come out of the garage and the male turned and was given commands to put his hands up and lay down on his front. Both of the officers then placed the male into handcuffs for protection.

One officer then made contact with the caller who was at the front door and confirmed that the male with handcuffs on was the male that had the shotgun. The caller stated that Mr. Bouton came up to her and slapped her on the left shoulder and then stated that he was going to kill everyone in the household which caused the caller to be in fear of bodily harm or death from Mr. Bouton’s threats.  Mr. Bouton then went to his bedroom where it is believed that he got shotgun shells from an ammo box and loaded his shotgun. Mr. Bouton was intoxicated at the time of this occurrence. Consent to search the garage revealed a Harrington and Richardson 12 Ga. single barrel shotgun with a cut down butt for a pistol type grip found loaded with a 12 Ga. slug in the barrel and one on the table next to the shotgun. Mr. Bouton was place under arrest and was transported to the Justice Center for booking. Mr. Bouton was served with bond conditions and a warrant for aggravated assault.
