A new study just out tells which U.S. city is the “Most American”. WalletHub released the study to show which metro in the U.S. most reflects what it is to be American.
To determine which cities mirror the United States more than others, WalletHub examined demographical statistics for 366 of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. The data set includes 26 key metrics, among which are age, gender and income as well as household makeup and housing tenure. By studying these factors, it aims to help consumers identify the cities that best address their different priorities. In the end: Nashville ranked number one as the Most American City.
Nashville ranked just ahead of Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Charleston, S.C., and Jacksonville, Fla., rounded out the top 5.
Chattanooga finished No. 38, Memphis landed at No. 45, and Knoxville finished as No. 48.
