In what appears to be totally unrelated incidents, there have been five people found dead in our region in the past 28 hours.  Thursday afternoon a man identified as 32-year-old Timothy Thompson of Pleasant Hill was found deceased in a ditch along U.S. Highway 70.  No word yet on the cause of death.

Thursday night Rockwood police along with medical personnel were sent to the 600 block of North Wilder Avenue around 10:30 where a person was in a yard was found deceased. No identity of cause of death has been released there.

Friday morning Cookeville Police officers responded to an apartment complex located at 600 West 8th Street and found three dead. Pamela Spurlock (36), Steven Spurlock (15), and Emma Spurlock (14) deceased inside.  No cause of death has been released for that incident yet.  All the cases are under investigation.
