CROSSVILLE’S ‘DEROY THE CLOWN’ PASSES AT 81

For decades Dennis Davis provided much joy for children, big and little, in the persona of “Deroy The Clown”.

Deroy was booked for thousands of parties and special events and even made several appearances out of the blue on his own.  He would tell jokes, make people laugh and turn balloons into animal all the while decked out in his famous ‘clown’ outfit.

Deroy also was an acomplished trumpet player and would provide specialty songs for special events.  Dennis passed away last Saturday at his home at the age of 81.  Family and friends can say goodbye to Dennis Wednesday during a graveside service, 11am at Crossville City Cemetery.  He is survived by his son, Patrick Davis; caregivers, Katie Studer, Jeremie Reece, and Amy Reece.

Upon his departure “Deroy” would simple say “Jingle Bells”
