ROCKWOOD MAN ARRESTED AFTER ‘KISSING STOP SIGNS’
One man is at the Roane County jail after being arrested by The Rockwood
Police Department on Tuesday afternoon.According to the report from
Sergeant Jared Hall, he got a call of a man kissing stop signs and acting
peculiar near the intersection of Kingston Avenue and Strang Street. Upon
arrival he noticed a subject sitting in the parking lot of the Kiddie Corner
daycare identified as Terrance Adam Long. Sergeant Hall said the subject
was sitting with his head in his lap, one shoe off and incoherent. Long had what was believed to be
heroin on his person.
After a similar encounter with the subject Monday by
RPD, in order to protect him from any harm he Long was arrested for public intoxication simple possession or
casual exchange and violating the drug-free school zone since it was a
daycare center. Long remains jailed today at the Roane County Jail
waiting a court date in front of General Session Judge Humphrey on Jan
31st
