EAST TN WOMAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BURGLARY AFTER EVADING POLICE INTO AN OCCUPIED RESIDENCE
A woman was charged with aggravated burglary after she reportedly ran into someone’s home trying to escape Harriman police. According to the warrant, police went to Sewanee St. on Oct. 6 looking for Kimberly D. Dagnan, who had four active warrants.
“Upon arrival, I knocked on the door to locate Kim,” the warrant said. Another officer saw the female crawl out of the back window to an apartment. Kim was advised by law to stop, but she ran into an occupied residence.
The warrant said police entered the home after receiving permission from the owner.
“As I entered the home I heard heavy breathing from a female,” the warrant said. “I located Ms. Dagnan hiding behind the bathroom door.”
Dagnan was arrested and taken to the Roane County Jail. In addition to aggravated burglary, she also faces a charge of evading arrest. That’s not all, however.
She reportedly had 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine, which was found when she was strip searched at the jail. That added introduction of contraband into a penal facility as well as methamphetamine — manufacture, deliver, sale, or possession to her list of charges.
