The Crossville City Council, in regular session on Tuesday, voted to move forward with the purchase of body cams for the Crossville Police Department.

The bid from Axon in the amount of $365,000 was approved with an initial payment of $200,000 and the remainder spread out over four years with no interest.

The system will include body worn cameras as well as in-car dash cams.
