The former Cumberland County Veterans Service officer charged with embezzling thousands of dollars is scheduled for trial October 31st.  50 year old Mark Daniels was indicted on one count of theft over $10,000 back in 2012.  Daniels is accused of transferring money from the Veterans organization into his personal account between 2010 and 2012.  Another indictment was handed down in 2013 for theft over $60,000 after it was discovered over $134,000 was missing from the organization.  Many veterans have rallied in support of Daniels saying he was great for the organization and helped many veterans.
