An inmate from the Fentress County Jail is on the run.

Fentress County Sheriff Tony Choate said Josh Caroll, 35, escaped Monday night. He is 5’10” and 190 pounds. He has short brown hair with hazel eyes.

Caroll has been in jail since last week. He is accused of being involved in a number of home break-ins. Sheriff Choate said Caroll does not have a violent history, but has been in jail several times in the past.
