Police are scaling back on their search for a shooting suspect being sought for a shooting earlier this evening on Burnett Street in Crossville.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was flown to an area trauma center with a gunshot wound in the abdomen.  Police searched the north end of Crossville for hours but were not able to apprehend the suspect.  It is believed the suspect may have left Crossville in a vehicle.  Crossville Police public information officer Brian Eckelson is scheduled to issue a press release Thursday morning.
