WHAT HAPPENED? WE WENT FROM ONE COVID CASE TO 300 IN ONE MONTH

The latest COVID-19 report shows Cumberland County with 300 active COVID cases on August 6th.  July 1st, we were down to one case.  It looked like COVID was on its way out of Cumberland County. Not so.  The hospital once again is covered up in the ER with patients who are having COVID symptoms – many of them are being admitted to the hospital.  What happened?  How did this happen?  Of course, like all the other guesses the professionals and others have been giving since COVID hit – we’ll never know what happened.  If there’s one thing we’ve learned for sure during the pandemic: no one knows anything for sure.  Some are saying there are not enough people getting vaccinated – some are saying it’s the new variant coming in – some say people have been getting out too fast among others since the big shut down.  We’ll never know – but one thing we do know – the cases are rising rapidly in Cumberland County. We have no advice other than take all precautions you can.
