MORE PEDESTRIANS BEING HIT BY CARS IN NASHVILLE

 pedestrian-crossing-sign-949267-mNo less than 8 reports of pedestrians being stuck by vehicles in Nashville this year alone.  Two more incidents happened Monday night.

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Bordeaux area late Monday night.

Officials with Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said the woman was struck by a car while crossing outside of a crosswalk at the intersection of Clarksville Pike and Buena Vista Pike around 11 p.m. The vehicle did not stop.

The woman died at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Police said they have recovered the possible suspect vehicle. No arrests have been made.

A 69-year-old man was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle in Bellevue on Monday evening.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a white male was struck by a minivan near Kroger at the intersection of Highway 70 and Old Hickory Boulevard.

His name was not immediately known.
