UPDATE: FENTRESS COUNTY THOUSAND-ACRE WILDFIRE BATTLE ONGOING
Firefighters have been hard at work all night battling a 1,000-acre wildfire in southwest Fentress county. The fire is in a remote and rugged area of the county about four miles southwest of Jamestown.
Here is the latest update (2am Wed) from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture

1,000 acres; 10% contained
Crews will take advantage of elevated humidity levels overnight to create control lines around the fire perimeter, fight back any spot fires that cross the lines, and continue to size up this fire. The terrain and size are making it difficult to establish the breadth of the entire fire.
Tomorrow, the town of Jamestown can expect more smokey conditions as winds shift from the south to the southwest.
