Memorial Day Weekend represents the unofficial kickoff to summer. Amidst the fun, however, is the stark reminder of the sacrifice so many have made on behalf of our nation – and each other.
Before Memorial Day fun begins this year, radio station 106-9 Kicks Country asks you to make a commitment to your neighbor. It’s the Kicks Country Give A Pint Get A Pint Blood Drive presented by Blood Assurance. This afternoon,  before the Memorial Day fun begins, take a few minutes and join us at one of our  locations across the Upper Cumberland to give the gift of life. It’s that simple….and no, it doesn’t hurt!
Not only will you know that you could be helping a neighbor with your donation, but you’ll get a pint of Purity Ice Cream for your trouble. Give A Pint…Get A Pint from 106-9 Kicks Country.

Blood Assurance serves all the hospitals of the Upper Cumberland so the donation you make stays right here in our community – helping so many and at a such a critical time. Unfortunately, blood donations fall in the summer and the need is there.

BLOOD ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

1. You must be 17 or older. 16 year olds can donate but a parent must be present.
2. You must weigh at least 110 pounds.
3. You cannot be pregnant.
4. You must eat and drink plenty of fluids before you arrive.
