Cumberland County Sheriff Department Sergeant Gary Howard has been struggling with COVID-19 since late October.  He has now been hospitalized suffering from the viral infection causing severe breathing difficulties and diagnosed with pneumonia. Sgt. Howard is the Community Services Director/Public Information Officer for the Sheriff’s Department and has served as a School Resource Officer. He is also a minister and posted the following on his page earlier today:
