CROSSVILLE CRACKER BARREL SUED FOR $900,000 + IN WRONGFUL DEATH COMPLAINT
October 31, 2020
Crossville Cracker Barrel has been named in a lawsuit filed in Cumberland County Circuit Court claiming wrongful death of a Crossville man. The estate of Harvey LerCroix filed the suit earlier in October claiming Cracker Barrel was negligent in not marking the drop off from the front patio of the store to the pavement. On October 12th, 2019, 85 year old Harvey LeCroix was exiting the restaurant when he stepped off the front patio onto the pavement below and fell. Mr. LeCroix died eight days later from head injuries suffered in the fall the suit claims.
The suit is seeking $900,000 plus in damages. The suit alleges that Cracker Barrel, based in Lebanon Tennessee, failed to properly mark the edge of the patio to indicate a drop off to the pavement.
