MEN ARE RUNNING NAKED IN TENNESSEE, TWO STORIES FROM MIDDLE AND EAST TN
We’re not sure what’s going on with some guys these days but there have two different stories surface from Middle Tennessee and East Tennessee about men who weren’t wearing any clothes. One event ended in tragedy for a man in Tullahoma.
First, in Kingsport Sunday a man was arrested after authorities received a call about a man standing along the waterfront naked.
He was identified as 54-year-old Timothy James Wright.
Deputies reportedly arrived at the lake access on Old Highway 11W in Rogersville and saw Wright standing alongside the water without clothes, yelling obscenities at passing boaters.
Authorities reported Wright appeared to be under the influence of some sort of narcotic.
Deputies report that Wright was showing signs of paranoia and delusions.
He could apparently give no explanation as to why he had no clothes on, and deputies say he was speaking and acting aggressively.
Wright was arrested for public intoxication, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct.
He was taken to Hawkins County Jail.
Then this morning early, a naked man led police on a high-speed chase in Tullahoma.
The call came in around 2 a.m. Wednesday about a naked man walking around the Food Lion on West Lincoln Street.
When officers arrived, the man took off in a Nissan Altima and a chase ensued.
The suspect slammed into several parked cars, went airborne, flipped over a camper and then hit a house along the 1900 block of West Lincoln. The man, identified as 29-year-old Lawrence Bean, was thrown from the car and died at the scene. Tennessee Highway Patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt…or anything else.
