TN MOTHER, BOYFRIEND CHARGED WITH FORCE-FEEDING BATTERIES TO CHILD

In news out of Savannah, Tennessee, a Grand Jury has indicted a Hardin County mother and her boyfriend after they allegedly force-fed batteries to a small child. According to WTVF, 21-year-old Kristina Thompson and 19-year-old Lucas Todd are accused of forcing a child under the age of 8 to eat several AA and AAA batteries with the intention of causing serious bodily harm. The child also suffered several bruises and fractured bones. He or she is expected to recover. If convicted of aggravated child abuse, the suspects face a minimum prison sentence of 15 years, WTVF reports.
