BURGLARS CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF STEALING…A BURGLAR ALARM

Crossville Police were called in on a burglary in process Monday near the Cumberland County Playhouse. Reports indicate a woman was walking around the Playhouse acting suspicious.  The woman was identified as 33-year-old Leah Davenport. Police also discovered a man identified as 43-year-old Robert Grumbein driving around the area.  After questioning Grumbein, officers found batteries in the suspects pocket that matched batteries which belonged in a wireless keypad  for a burglar alarm.  The keypad had been reported stolen.  Reportedly, shoe prints matching Grumbein’s and Davenport’s shoes were found near the area of the burglary.  It was also discovered that Grumbein is a convicted felon and had seven boxes of 9mm ammo in his truck. Both suspects were taken to jail and charged with burglary.
