abuse_1457040440194_737014_ver1.0A 33-year-old Soddy Daisy man is the first Tennessean to appear on the state’s new online animal abuse registry, according to the TBI.

The registry is not only new for Tennessee. It’s a first for the nation.

Michael H. Henley was convicted Jan. 14 of aggravated cruelty to animals in Hamilton County, according to the TBI.

Anyone can access the registry, see a picture of the offender and learn their age and where they live. The registry will feature those convicted of aggravated animal cruelty, or felony animal fighting. First-time offenders will spend two years on the registry, while a second offense makes it five. SEE REGISTRY HERE
