LEST WE FORGET: IT’S NATIONAL DRINK WINE DAY…REALLY

Now that Valentine’s Day is over, you can celebrate a real national holiday — “National Drink Wine Day!” Pop the cork and enjoy a glass of your favorite Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot, Shiraz, or Zinfandel in honor of the occasion.

February 18th is celebrated across the United States as National Drink Wine and its purpose is to spread the love and health benefits of wine.

So embrace it, and throw back a glass with your friends.  Remember to always drink responsibly.

Here are some health benefits to consuming wine as well. Moderate drinkers have lower risks for liver disease, type two diabetes, heart attack, stroke, and some cancers.

Wine has also been known to reduce “bad” cholesterol, or LDL, and increase “good” cholesterol, known as HDL.
