TODAY FINAL DAY FOR REGISTERING TO VOTE

Today is the last day that Tennessee residents have to register to vote for the March 1st “Super Tuesday” Primary election. Only one Cumberland County office is up for grabs this round. Office of Cumberland County Property Assessor with two Republican candidates, incumbent David Simcox and his opponent Tommy Bean facing off March 1st along with the Presidential Primaries. One other candidate will appear on the August General election ballot for Assessor; City Councilman Pete Souza has filed papers and will run as an independent candidate.    Early voting in Cumberland County takes place at the Election Commission Office, 2 South Main Street, Suite 105 in downtown Crossville. Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday; and 8 a.m to Noon on Saturdays and runs February 10th through Tuesday, February 23. The Election Commission will be closed on President’s Day, Monday, February 15, 2016.
The last day to request an Absentee Ballot is February 23.
