TWO ESCAPE HOUSE EXPLOSION, FIRE IN MAYLAND MONDAY MORNING

Cumberland County firefighters were called to a ‘house explosion’ this (Monday) morning in the Mayland Community. The single-wide mobile home, located on Mayland Loop, had caught on fire from what is thought to be a heat-lap in an add-on storage room to the trailer. Assistant Fire Chief John Hall told Crossville New First that once the fire began, apparently an oxygen tank nearby ignited and resulted in a tremendous explosion.  The residents, Richard Wagoner and his wife had already gotten out of the burning home when the explosion occurred. Mrs Wagoner was taken to CMC for smoke inhalation.  Mr. Wagoner suffered singed hair injuries but did not require transport to the hospital.
