A Crossville man won a $749,724 jackpot in the Tennessee Cash lottery game Friday night.

Alvie Ward’s wife woke him at 3 a.m. Saturday morning to share the news.

Tennessee Cash is a drawing-style lottery game only offered in Tennessee. Alvie matched all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing. He said he uses his children’s birthdays as his lucky numbers.

Alvie and his wife, who will celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary in March, say they will use the money to help pay off their house, among other things.

The winning ticket was sold at Lake Tansi Village Market, 2770 Dunbar Road, in Crossville.
