6-year-old boy swept away in Middle Tennessee
A six-year-old child has been reported as missing after a car with three other passengers was swept away by flood waters in Hickman County.
Officials with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said a family of four was swept away by the rising flood waters on Thursday afternoon. A six-year-old boy was swept down river.
The identity of the missing boy has not yet been released.
The other three family members were able to get to safety.
The Hickman County Swift Water Rescue Team has dispatched a search team in an effort to locate the boy.
