A $50 million Powerball jackpot was won in Harriman, and another multi-million dollar ticket was sold in Tennessee.

The $50 million Powerball winning jackpot ticket is the second Powerball jackpot won in Tennessee during the past year and the third since the Lottery began offering the game in April 2004.

Last June, a Knoxville man won a $259.8 million jackpot.

This was the Tennessee Lottery’s largest prize-to-date and in March 2005 a South Pittsburg family won a Powerball jackpot of $25.5 million.

A two million dollar Powerball ticket was sold in Hohenwald.

No other details have been released about the winner or the exact place where the winning tickets were sold.
