23-YEAR-OLD TAKEN DOWN AFTER HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT THIS MORNING IN STOLEN TRUCK

A high-speed pursuit this morning around 10:30 led to the arrest of 23-year-old Jacob Seth Finley.   Officers had been called to a location on 127 South for a possible stolen vehicle and while investigating the call, a Dodge Dually took off speeding out of the parking lot.  Officers pursued the truck and was joined by several other police and deputy cruisers chasing the truck to highway 70, then back to Crossville.  Police cornered Finley on old Lantana road finally and that’s when he took off on foot.  According to sources, CPD Lt. Kendrick with the K-9 Unit took Finley down.  Both a Chevy Silverado at the original location and the Dodge truck were stolen.  Finley reportedly struck the K-9 dog Arko several times while trying to evade arrest.  The animal was taken to the vet and should be ok.  Finley was charged with felony evading arrest and assault on a K-9 according to reports.
