Authorities say a man died Friday night after becoming unconscious at a party near the Tennessee Tech campus in Cookeville. Police say the 23-year-old passed away at a nearby hospital. WSMV reports the victim was not a student at the University and foul play is not suspected at this time. His identity was not immediately released. The body has been sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death. It has been speculated that the party was thrown by a fraternal organization, but WSMV says the University has decline to comment.
