162 PEOPLE TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AT BLEDSOE COUNTY CORRECTIONAL COMPLEX FACILITIES
More than 150 new inmates have tested positive for COVID-19 at Tennessee Department of Correction facilities, according to new data from the agency — a sharp jump from the 12 positive cases reported on Friday.
In total, 170 cases have been reported across four facilities.
The highest concentration of reported cases is at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex, which sits approximately halfway between Nashville and Knoxville.
All inmates at the complex are now being tested based on an “aggressive response” to the number of positive cases.
As of Monday morning, 162 inmates have tested positive at the facility.
On Sunday, testing for 3,100 inmates began across the Bledsoe facility, the Northwest Correctional Complex and the Turney Center Industrial Complex in the third round of testing at TDOC. FULL STORY HERE
