Things got a little tense last night near Cumberland Medical Center causing a ‘lock-down’ of the facility for a short time.  CNF was notified of the incident by a reader who told us CMC was on lock-down.  We contacted CMC who explained that some kind of incident was taking place across the street from the hospital involving a possible armed individual and that the police were on the scene.  Today, sources are reporting there was a domestic dispute near the hospital involving a man and his wife.  Reportedly, the man was armed and would not leave the residence.  There was short stand-off between the armed man and police which eventually was resolved and the man was taken into custody.  The hospital was put on lock-down as a precaution once it was learned there was an individual near the hospital who was armed with one or more firearms. No one was injured during the incident.  No names have been released at this time.
