Authorities have arrested a Tennessee man who allegedly threatened to kill President Barack Obama, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney and other national and state officials.

In an expletive-laden message left July 11 at the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security, Jimmie Randall Johnson Jr. named a long list of leaders and said he would “blow them all up,” according to an arrest warrant charging Johnson with harassment.

Johnson, 45, is accused of threatening to kill Obama, Romney, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, Tennessee Homeland Security Advisor David Purkey and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Tommy Farmer. In a message the next day, Johnson said he would “light Nashville up” and again threatened to kill Romney and Ryan, according to his arrest warrant.

Phone records led authorities to Johnson, who is from Ardmore, a Tennessee city near the Alabama border. Agents with the Secret Service traveled to Huntsville, Ala. days later to interview Johnson.

Johnson admitted to making the calls, according to his warrant.

Records show Johnson was booked into the Metro Jail on Saturday on a $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.
