NIKKI BURGESS’ ALLEGED KILLER IN COURT TODAY
The East Tennessee man charged in the death of Crossville native Nikki Burgess will be in court for a motions hearing on today.
Caleb Cannon has been in jail since October. The judge has not yet set a trial date.
Thursday’s hearing will revolve around some expert testimony in the case.
Earlier this year, Cannon’s defense attorney questioned the validity of cadaver dogs that sniffed around the trunk of Cannon’s car. Investigators believe the K-9s found traces of human decomposition.
Burgess’ body has not been found.
