MOBILE HOME FIRE CLAIMS ONE LIFE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
One person died in a mobile home fire Wednesday evening in Crossville. Fire fighters were called to the home on Netherton Lane around 9:30. When the Crossville Fire Department arrived the home was fully engulfed in flames and a man was attempting to get a trapped person out of the burning home. Fire crews were able to get one person out of the home but another, yet to be identified, was found inside sadly already dead from the blaze. The body will be sent to the State Medical Examiners office for identification. The man who was rescued from the fire was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation and burns. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
