On 25 September 2024 a Sheriff’s Deputy was patrolling the area of Wyndridge Estates when he observed a female in the road near Foxwood Drive. The Deputy had been to this address earlier in the evening performing a welfare check on Alex Davis due to a complaint of his having a mental episode. The person stated that Alex came after her with a landscaping tool. She stated they were at the house alone when he threatened her. She notified her fiancé by phone to return to the residence.

The Deputy informed them that he would be looking for Alex in order to question him. He further asked the female to show him the tool that Alex had in his hands. She went to the side of the residence and presented the Deputy with a handheld sickle. She stated that Alex also had an axe.

The Deputy canvased the area in search of Alex and located him on Rector Road. The Deputy spoke to Alex in the street. Alex was not found to be in possession of any weapons. Alex denied the incident and indicated to the Deputy that he believed he has a “hit” on him by all the drug dealers in Cumberland County.

The Deputy spoke to the female over the phone and asked her to provide a written statement and bring it by the Sheriff’s Department later.

Due to the incident explained to the Deputy by the female, Alex was placed into double-locking cuffs behind his back and seated into the rear passenger seat of the Deputy’s patrol car. Alex was secured by seatbelt and transported to Cumberland County Jail without further incident. The tool was left at the residence. Alex was charged with Assault (TCA 39-13-101).
