Around 1:30 this afternoon an elderly gentlemen parked his car in front of the courthouse, got out of his car and was hit by another vehicle.  The victim suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to CMC.  Weather prohibited air-flight to Knoxville.  Witnesses said the victim was talking as they loaded him into the ambulance.  No names have been released yet by the authorities.
