FROM CROSSVILLE POLICE REPORT:
When ‘Terresa’ from Knoxville bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in July from a car lot on Miller Avenue in Crossville she was delighted with her new vehicle. A month later she returned her Jeep to the dealer for a little cosmetic work.
A couple of days later, on September 1st, 2021, she received a very disturbing phone call from the dealer – The State was at the dealership to take her Jeep. Turns out the Jeep had been reported as stolen prior to her purchasing it. TBI reported the Jeep had been repoed in Memphis in October of 2020 and then stolen in November 2020 from a transport company after leaving the keys in the Jeep. A local towing company took the Jeep from the dealership in Crossville for the State. Terresa is working with the dealership to get her money refunded.
