NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – – Metro police responded to 11th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Thursday where a chicken was obstructing traffic.

Officer Frank Campbell was able to distract the lost “subject” with a Little Debbie oatmeal cream pie from the stash of snacks he keeps in his car.

Using the tasty treat to break the ice, Officer Campbell was able to safely remove him from the street and get him to the other side. 

After officers confirmed the chicken did not have an Uber account – or other mode of transportation – they called Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control to help move him along.

MACC has promised to assist the chicken in finding a more suitable place to roam.
