VIOLENT SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED IN CROSSVILLE BY PLAYGROUND

A domestic disturbance in Obed River Park in Crossville turned into the arrest of a registered violent sex offender. Police responded to a truck parked near the playground area and found 47-year-old James Lee Quarry of Crossville in the driver seat. Quarry claimed he did not realize it was a park, even with the playground in sight. Quarry was arrested and transported to the Cumberland County jail. Quarry was placed on the sex offender registry after his 1993 conviction for rape.
