The search continues for a suspect who was pulled over by the THP earlier this evening.  The suspect was pulled over by THP, jumped out of his car and ran on foot.  A search by several agencies was conducted in the Dorton community.  We spoke to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department who told us the search was being conducted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and directed us to their dispatch. We then contacted the Tennessee Highway Patrol at 12:35 am this (Saturday) morning who told us the suspect had not been apprehended as of that time.  Warrants have been obtained by the THP for the suspect.  He was last seen wearing white shorts and no shirt along Chestnut Hill Road.  Officers searched along Chestnut Hill Road and Highway 70 E.  The THP officer did not indicate the suspect to be armed and dangerous. The investigation is being conducted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol and assisted by Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
