TN TO ENFORCE RULES FOR SEX OFFENDERS ON HALLOWEEN (Cumberland Co list included)

Tennessee Department of Correction TDOC officers will canvas areas and visit more than 3,800 registered sex offenders across Tennessee to ensure compliance during Operation Blackout, a special operation this time of year to ensure the safety of our children. To help keep Halloween happy and safe, sex offenders under TDOC supervision must be at home by 6 p.m., are not permitted to display Halloween decorations and porch lights must be off. Sex offenders are also not allowed to give out Halloween candy and may not attend Halloween functions including Hallelujah Night and Harvest Festivals. While TDOC officers will be out in the community monitoring sex offenders to enhance public safety, parents are reminded to keep a close watch on their children.
