The Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association is warning people of a phone scam.

On their Facebook page, the TSA says they do not engage in telemarketing. if someone calls claiming to represent the Tennessee Sheriff’s Association and is asking for money, it is a scam.

The association says they will never solicit money over the phone.

They say they are receiving reports that numerous phone solicitors are contacting Tennessee citizens representing their association.

All 95 sheriffs in Tennessee have been made aware of the issue.
