THREE QUAKES RATTLE MID AND EAST TENNESSEE IN JUST OVER 24 HOURS

Two earthquakes  struck Tennessee on Tuesday, bringing the total number of quakes to hit the state to three in a little more than 24 hours.

A 2.2 earthquake registered mid-morning on Tuesday, about three miles south of Sweetwater, Tennessee.

Another 1.6 magnitude earthquake hit near Vonore in Monroe County on Tuesday morning.

On Monday morning, a 2.2 magnitude earthquake hit Lawrence County, Tenn.

Again, the experts say this is normal for Tennessee and there really isn’t any concern that these are precursors to a near future large earth quake.  Even so, many are getting a bit uneasy from all the shake, rattle and rolling going on.
