SERIOUSLY? TN MAN REPORTS TO POLICE HIS POT WAS STOLEN HE WAS TRYING TO SELL

Clarksville Police said a man who told authorities he is selling marijuana called 911 to report that he’d been robbed of $200 worth of weed.

“Everybody told him not to report it, but he really wanted the police to know that he was robbed. Now we know,” Officer Darren Koski said.

Police said the man told officers a pot deal on Wednesday near Beech Street didn’t go as planned. He told police a suspect took the 1-ounce bags of pot and warned the man not to come after him or he would shoot.

The man told police he didn’t try to stop the 20- to 25-year-old black man, because he feared he would be shot. The suspect is described as about 5-foot-8, wearing a blue hoodie and dark jeans, and has a scruffy beard. Officers searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

A police report was filed, but the man wanted to know about his stolen marijuana, police said.

“He asked me what would happen in court if the thief is caught. I explained that I really doubt they will give him back $200 worth of marijuana,” Koski said.

The man told police he’s selling marijuana to support his girlfriend and her unborn child.
