REVIEW: CROSSVILLE TALENT SHOWCASED IN JUST RELEASED PRAISE & WORSHIP CD

Once again, the talent of Crossville has really made an excellent showing in a newly released CD.  The CD is called Maker’s Dozen.

Maker’s Dozen is a new album of Praise & Worship music, written by Marty Gibson and Nancy Winn. This album is the result of working together for many years, as worship leaders in the Sacred Encounters service at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church.  The CD offers eleven original songs and three covers of traditional hymns that have been somewhat ‘tweaked’. It brings new life to some standard hymns for contemporary worship! Many local Cumberland County musicians are included on, Maker’s Dozen including: Musicians. Annetta B. Deck – Keyboards & Synthesizer, Wade England – Drums, Martin D. Gibson – Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Keyboard Synthesizer, Chet Hayes – V-Drums and Auxiliary Percussion, David Odegaard – Electric Bass Guitar and EUB.  Vocalists: Melissa Clyde, Martin D. Gibson, Terri Utsey and Nancy Winn.

Nancy Winn told CNF, “As GW Productions, LLC, we hope to offer a business platform that local musicians can use to assist in the creation and distribution of their songs and albums. We strongly believe that all communities are better with music and we think you will enjoy all that these creative musicians have to offer”   The CD was recorded and mixed locally at Star Recording Studio in Crossville.
